This calculator estimates the alcohol content in fermented wort, must, wine or beer wash. It is based on the standard homebrew formula ABV = (OG − FG) × 131.25.
This gives a reliable approximation; the actual ABV can vary slightly depending on the type of fermentation, residual sugars and measurement accuracy.
Important: For the most accurate result, measure gravity with the liquid at the calibrated temperature of your hydrometer. Temperature errors significantly affect the reading.
